Rattle & Bump
Wherever people gather so do abandoned shopping carts.
I drew this grocery-getter creature and printed him by hand in silver ink on gray 4x6" textured cardstock, using my Gocco toy printing press.
He was spotted on Etsy's blog, the Storque and has been featured in Pikalands "Gocco" themed Pika Package; at Fleeting Pages, a pop-up art & book shop taking over a former Border's bookstore in Pittsburgh; and at Sweet's Workshop's second annual "My Goodness, My Gocco" exhibition in Sydney, Australia.
My delicate illustration is reproduced in crisp, perfect detail with a subtle shimmer. You can almost hear the metallically clanky, clunky hum as the creature rolls amiably across the parking lot, one lopsided wheel spinning unhelpfully the wrong way, just missing by a wire the vulnerable bumper of a parked car.
