Original archival ink drawings, some with vintage collage elements, on retro library book pockets. Drawing is how my brain processes visual data, and these little improvised sketches are a fun way to organize all the image files flashing across my hard drive.
They help me scratch an itch.
It is an interesting, calisthenic exercise for me to create a fresh, fast litle work of art straight from my subconscious that's casual but well composed, detailed but unfussy. The manilatagstock makes a nice smooth drawing surface, and the petite size encourages brevity.
I always say when making art, the hard parts are 1) getting started and 2) knowing when to stop -- everything in between is easy.
Drawings are signed and dated on the tab.
