Rich's short films have screened at various film festivals and galleries throughout the United States. As well as writing, directing, and producing, he often shoots, edits, and scores the films.

Ranchero, his feature directorial debut, written by Brian Johnson, premiered at the Sacramento International Film Festival and was an Official Selection of the Temecula Valley International Film Festival. The movie was also invited to screen at Cine El Rey in McAllen, Texas. Ranchero won the "Best of Festival" award at Indie Fest USA, and was awarded "Best Screenplay - Feature", "Best Actor - Feature," and "Audience Award - Best Feature Film" at the SENE Film, Music and Arts Festival in Providence, Rhode Island.

His latest short film, "Movie Game," recently screened by invitation at the premiere of Homeland, at the Zeiterion Theatre in New Bedford, Massachusetts.
